Holland America charges 150% of the rate. Rates were posted per person based on double occupancy.

Yes, this is a good idea since you will be securing the space and price, the second passenger can be added later.

How much does the air cost from Anchorage to Vancouver?
Holland America charges around $490.00pp one way. You can also book an independent flight:the one way air price as of today is around Cad$ 400.00pp, you need to add transfer from Seward to the airport in Anchorage (3 ½ hours drive) at $87.00pp. The air can be booked sometime next year around final payment date as it is 100% non-refundable.

Is the cruise deposit refundable?
Yes, the cruise deposit is fully refundable by Feb 26th, 2010.

What is the advantage of booking early?
You will secure space, and protect the price if it goes up; Holland America will adjust the price if it goes down before final payment.

Do you have a roundtrip cruise from Vancouver?
Yes, the closest one to the Conference will be the VOLENDAM, another Holland America ship, departing from Vancouver roundtrip on May 19th for 7 days. Prices start at $1033.84 pp for an inside cabin.

What happens if I need to cancel after final payment?
Penalties start. There is a Cancellation Chart found in the Holland America webpage. We strongly recommend Travel Insurance to protect your investment for Cancellation, Interruption and Medical Emergencies. The cost of insurance is based on 3 factors: cost of the total price of your trip, duration of trip and age of passenger. You can request a quote before final payment or before any non-refundable portion of your trip has been paid in full.

Can I cruise back to Vancouver on the Statendam?
Yes, this is called a back to back cruise, so it will be a total of 14 days. You will have to book the 2 segments, and 2 deposits will be required.
